The opportunity
As a Sales Leader at Route, you will play a critical role in driving the company’s revenue growth, market expansion, and sales strategy. You will lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales organization that is on a mission to connect the world’s best brands to Route’s network. This role requires a strategic leader who can balance vision with execution—aligning cross-functional teams, optimizing processes, and fostering a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
What you’ll do
- Attract, onboard, and nurture a high-performing, diverse, and engaged sales team while fostering a clear and equitable career growth path.
- Continuously refine and optimize sales strategies and processes to drive efficiency and results.
- Empower your team with the skills, knowledge, and tools needed to successfully sell SaaS solutions in a competitive market.
- Leverage data-driven insights to track, measure, and enhance sales effectiveness, adapting strategies as needed to maximize performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders to ensure seamless alignment and operational success across the organization.
- Stay ahead of industry trends by maintaining deep expertise in eCommerce, including emerging technologies, competitive landscape, and performance metrics.
- Drive accuracy in forecasting, working towards predictable and scalable revenue growth.
- Utilize internal tools effectively, ensuring strong adoption of CRM platforms and OKR management systems to track progress and performance.
- Invest in team development through structured growth plans, regular 1:1s, deal reviews, performance coaching, and accountability-driven leadership.
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in SaaS, leading Senior Account Executives; experience in a high-growth startup is a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal—with the ability to influence and inspire teams.
- Hands-on, proactive leader who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments and embraces change with agility.
- Proven track record of success in both sales execution and leadership, consistently driving high performance and revenue growth.
- Deep expertise in sales strategy, including sales methodologies, pipeline management, accurate forecasting, and delivering strong quarterly results.
- Strong ability to engage and influence C-level executives, internal teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment and business impact.
- Experienced in recruiting, developing, and retaining top sales talent, fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture.
- Ability to quickly grasp and simplify technical concepts, making them accessible to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills, ensuring efficiency and focus in a fast-moving environment.

Pay Transparency
Salary for this role: $130,000 – $160,000
The cash compensation above includes base salary, and is not reflective of potential commission for employees in eligible roles, or annual bonus targets under Route’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, all Route employees are eligible to participate in Routes equity incentive plan to receive stock options per the terms of the agreement. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their career level, skills, experience, specific geographic location qualifications and other job-related reasons.
